STOCKHOLM, Jan 21 (Reuters) - Sweden set a new daily record for COVID-19 cases, registering 41,604 cases on Jan. 20, health agency data showed on Friday.

The daily infection figures are typically revised somewhat as any delayed records of additional cases are added to the national total for a given day.

The previous record was 40,622 from Jan. 19, a figure that had been revised upwards from 39,928. (Reporting by Simon Johnson, Editing by Helena Soderpalm)
