When a local schoolboy asked to donate his Christmas money to ShelterBox to help people who need shelter in disaster and conflict zones, he and his class were invited to see just how the money could be spent.
Ben and his classmates, who come from Parc Eglos School near to ShelterBox’s main office in Helston, were given the opportunity to learn about the different ways in which ShelterBox offers support to people around the world.
They also discovered that ShelterBox sometimes sends educational equipment in distinctive red and blue SchoolBoxes to help children carry on their studies and regain a sense of normality after a disaster. They contain essential supplies for teachers, including blackboard paint and chalk, along with school equipment for 50 children.
