Where does the money from the oranges go?
Buying an orange for 3 francs provides a malnourished child with a meal or a sick child with a medical examination. Thanks to stalls on the street or direct selling to companies in Switzerland, selling oranges brought in more than 850,000 Swiss francs in 2013.All this money has been pumped into Tdh children’s health projects. This year, Tdh is carrying out 28 health related projects in 17 countries, helping 1.5 million people.
Where do Tdh oranges come from?
For nearly three generations, Terre des hommes oranges have been grown in the Valencia region of Spain, in accordance with the very high GLOBAL.G.A.P standards and the GRASP guidelines.
These requirements ensure that the fruit is harvested with the utmost respect for the environment and that the health and safety of workers is maintained.
